Frequently Asked Questions

Nutritional Therapy looks at health through a whole-body lens. Rather than focusing on isolated symptoms, it considers how the body’s systems work together. A Nutritional Therapy Practitioner uses nutrition and lifestyle guidance to support digestion, blood sugar balance, stress management, sleep, and overall resilience. The goal is to help bring the body back into balance so it can function more smoothly and feel better over time.
-
I meet with clients virtually. Virtual sessions allow flexibility and make it easy to work together regardless of location.
-
I do not bill insurance. We discuss payment details during our discovery call.
-
A discovery call is a casual, low-pressure conversation where we talk about what’s going on for you, what kind of support you’re looking for, and whether my approach feels like a good fit. Calls are free and last about 20 minutes.
-
My work is best suited for those open to a thoughtful and foundational approach rather than quick fixes or rigid protocols. We’re likely a good fit if you’re looking to slow down and make changes that last.
-
We’ll discuss pricing during the discovery call, once we’ve had a chance to talk about your needs and the type of support that may be most helpful. I believe this work should be accessible, and I’m happy to discuss payment plan options.

For people with more complex concerns, functional testing may be helpful. When appropriate, tools such as GI-MAP stool testing or hair tissue mineral analysis (HTMA) may be used to add clarity and guide next steps. Testing is always optional and something we discuss together.
-
Hair tissue mineral analysis (HTMA) is a test that uses a sample of hair to look at mineral status and imbalances over time. It can offer insight into how the body is using minerals and how systems like stress response, energy production, and metabolism may be functioning. HTMA is used as one piece of information to help guide nutrition and lifestyle support.
-
The GI-MAP is a test that provides detailed information about gut health, including digestion, inflammation, immune function, and the balance of gut microbes. It can help identify factors that may be contributing to digestive symptoms and guide targeted nutrition and lifestyle recommendations.
